Early in March, the students of Office Management sat for their final examinations; those of Electronics, their course being slightly longer, will take their final exams this week. The usual mentorship series for Electronics were conducted in the first two weeks of March. In the series they covered mobile phones, radio and TV. In the photo on the left, some of the Electronics students conduct a troubleshooting session on a mobile phone.

In the second week of January 2012, the alumni of ISBI visited the community of St. Cecilia in Kiambiu and donated food stuff to a number of families. Among the families was a lady who had not eaten for two days. She is a single mother of two and washes clothes around her neighbourhood to earn a living. In spite of all the difficulties, the families show a profound trust in the providence of God.

A visit to the poor was done in Kiambiu on the 11th of January 2012. The students and staff of Eastlands Centre were able to give foodstuffs to fifty needy families, most of whom live in single rooms and rely on odd jobs to cater for the needs of their family as most of them are unemployed. Ms Martha Wanza has a four-year-old son who was supposed to start school this year but could not since she did not have enough money to buy his school uniform. She has two other children who are in primary school (one in Class 3 and the other in Class 7). Despite the burden she has of providing for her children, she is optimistic that God will help her.
